Shhhhhhh......be very quiet.....we are looking at the majestic blue-crested snarkle in its natural habitat. Unlike its cousin, the common Domesticated Yard-Snarkle, the wild blue is extremely rare with only a couple dozen documented sightings on record.
We have startled this specimen as it collects its favorite food, the succulent lootberry. Zoologists speculate that the wild blue gathers lootberries during the start of the mating season so that it may brew a delicious fermented beverage which, it believes, will dull the judgement of the females, thereby making it easier for the wild blue male to score.  In fact, the beverage, while certainly delicious, does not dull judgement.  The females know exactly what this gormless bastard is up to and that accounts for the extreme rarity of the species.
