Long reputed to be the worst comedy duo in history, Al Gungle and Buddy Slug have gained a resurgence in popularity with the younger generations. What was seen as an appalling lack of wit and humor displayed by the team has now been deemed "ironic" and is celebrated on G&S tee shirts, posters, and coffee mugs. This is an ad for their new tour, The Shoddy Memory tour.
To illustrate their peculiar brand of humor, here's one of their best bits:
Al: Hey Slug!
Buddy: Yeah, Gungle?
Al: A nun, walks into a bar with...uh...another nun and, you know, a person who looks like one.
Buddy: Looks like a person?
Al: NO! Looks like a nun!
Buddy: How do you look like a nun?
Al: You know, kind of matronly. Frumpy? Or...NO! I've got it! Like a battle ax! You know that saying?
Buddy: What saying?
Al: Battle ax.
Buddy: That's not a saying. It's barely a phrase.
Al: You did.
Buddy: Huh?
Al: So where was I? Oh yeah, two nuns and someone who looks like one, only without the nun dress.
Buddy: It's called a habit.
Al: No, I'm pretty sure it's a life calling.
