Gus was moonlighting as a security guard for HeffelFest 47 and he added me and Marvin to the guest list. VIP passes and everything! Of course we didn't get to see every band we wanted, but Bikini Cleaners were epic, as were The Colliders (as usual). Some of the standouts from the undercards were The Midnight Fish, Lace Curtain Circus, and 3 Hole Punch. The surprise of the festival had to be I'm Toilet Trained, who are much more sophisticated and psychedelic than their name implies. I wanted to get a tee shirt but in all the fun I forgot.
