This is a portrait of Marvin's great great grandfather on his mother's side, Guhpta Heffelfinger. Guhpta owned the property upon which was built the Little Seaside Amusement Park, a fine attraction to this day, and he parlayed the leasing fees into a fairly sizeable fortune.
As a man of means he was allowed to divert his attentions to his true passion, snarkle ranching. While Guhpta showed a flair for land speculation and entrepreneurialism, his ability to convince snarkles to take up residence on his ranch was his forte. At that time snarkle feathers fetched top dollar from both the fashion and paintbrush industries, and many a Heffelfinger snarkle retired to luxury.
